March Bloom Day

What's blooming in my garden in the middle of March? The species crocus in shades of yellow, purple, white, cream (below) and lavender. The snowdrops hidden in the fence row. The pussywillows are just emerging.

Then I had to search to find other blooms: maple tree, moss, and fungus.

I also just posted. I looked at my maple tree yesterday and the buds are swelling but not quite blooming. Nice to see you are starting to have crocuses in bloom. I need remember to get some snowdrops for next year.

I love your inclusion of the mosses and fungus. We had both of those growing in the woods near my childhood home. I always loved how soft the mosses felt. And the last one, we called British Soldiers, were always so intriguing to me as a kid.

That little fungus is really cute! Such a neat shade of red.

I'm enjoying your photos. Not much is blooming in my Canadian garden yet ... but the snow has gone and there are signs of growth appearing.

That fungus is really alien looking! Love the color of it.
Lovely pics! My snowdrops are all done for this year already, nice to see some in your part of the world!

We have moss blooming too. Looks just like yours.
I always thought it would make a good picture but kept forgetting to get the camera out. I also don't know if my macro can get as close as yours. Very nice pictures. Thanks for sharing them.
